09/23/2016: Assailants abducted villagers in an unknown village in Garu subdistrict, Jharkhand, India. This was one of three kidnappings in Garu on the same day. AT least five people were abducted across all three attacks and the outcome is unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
