09/23/2016: Assailants abducted more than 10 civilians from their residences in Chitrakonda, Odisha, India. Five of the hostages escaped on October 24, 2016, while the fate of the remaining hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Maoists.
