10/16/2016: Assailants opened fire on a military patrol in Abu Tawilah, North Sinai, Egypt. At least three assailants and five soldiers were killed and eight soldiers were injured in the attack and ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Sinai Province of the Islamic State.
