Incident Summary:
10/28/2016: Assailants fired rockets that landed and detonated near the Syrian Air and Air Defense Forces Humaymin Airbase outside of Jableh, Lattakia, Syria. This was one of two projectile attacks in Lattakia on the same day. At least one person was killed and six others were injured across both incidents. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attacks to Muslim extremists.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
