10/30/2016: Assailants detonated an explosive device and opened fire on military personnel in Buenavista, Barbacoas, Narino, Colombia. One soldier, identified as Diego Rodriguez Astaiza, was killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the National Liberation Army of Colombia (ELN).
