12/06/2016: Assailants opened fire on Thawat Pongsuwan, a defense volunteer, in Thadan, Pattani, Thailand. Pongsuwan and his wife were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to separatists.
