Incident Summary:

12/14/2016: Assailants opened fire on Park Ranger personnel near Lake Edward in the Virunga National Park in Bulambo, North Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo. At least one ranger and two assailants were killed was one ranger was injured in the attack. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Mayi Mayi.
