12/28/2016: Assailants opened fire on a police checkpoint in Torca, Bogota, Colombia. One police officer was killed in the attack. This was one of two coordinated attacks on police in the area on the same date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the National Liberation Army of Colombia (ELN).
