Incident Summary:

01/01/2017: Assailants opened fire on people at a refugee camp in Nertiti, Central Darfur, Sudan. At least eight people were killed and 60 others were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Sudan Liberation Army-Abdel Wahid (SLA-AW) faction of the Sudan Liberation Movement.
