Incident Summary:
01/02/2017: An explosives-laden vehicle detonated targeting the convoy of Sheikh Mahdi al-Sumaida'i near a mosque in Dakhliyah neighborhood, Baghdad, Iraq. Al-Sumaida'i, a Sunni cleric, was not harmed but at least one person was killed and 10 other people were injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
