01/16/2017: An explosive device detonated targeting a police vehicle in Yenisehir, Diyarbakir, Turkey. At least five police officers were killed and one officer was injured in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).

Criteria 1

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
