01/15/2017: Assailants abducted Nashwan Moqbel Saif at a security checkpoint in Taizz, Yemen. The hostage was tortured and released in December 2018 and died of his wounds from torture in April 2019. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah).
