Incident Summary:

01/20/2017: Assailants equipped with explosives-laden vehicles attacked volunteer forces in Tall Zallat, Nineveh, Iraq. This was one of two coordinated attacks in the area on the same day. Security forces repelled both assaults, killing 20 assailants. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
