01/21/2017: Assailants opened fire on a Kenyan African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) convoy in Busar, Gedo, Somalia. In addition to an unknown number of assailant casualties, at least two soldiers were killed in the ensuing clash. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident.
