01/31/2017: Assailants opened fire on a United Nations (UN) border demarcation team in Kontcha, Adamawa, Nigeria. At least five UN members were killed and several other members were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to Boko Haram.
