02/18/2017: Assailants kidnapped three people, including Mohammad Naim Nawabi, the chief of the northeastern water basin zone, in Chashma Sher, Baghlan, Afghanistan. The hostages were released on February 22, 2017. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
