02/22/2017: Assailants attacked military forces in Gajiram, Borno, Nigeria. At least three assailants and seven soldiers were killed in the assault and ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the Al-Barnawi faction of Boko Haram, also known as the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).
