Incident Summary:

03/15/2017: Assailants raided the residence of Prasanna Majhi in Karlapat, Odisha, India. Majhi, a Special Police Officer (SPO), was not harmed, though his motorcycle was set on fire during the attack. This was one of three attacks by the same assailants in Karlapat on this date. The Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that Prasanna Majhi was targeted because he participated in a police operation in which a CPI-Maoist member was arrested.
