03/16/2017: Assailants opened fire on Alfredo Guzman at his residence in Tame district, Arauca, Colombia. Guzman, a former mayor, was shot in the chest and injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the National Liberation Army of Colombia (ELN).
