03/23/2017: Assailants opened fire on a Somali National Army (SNA) base in Barawe, Lower Shebelle, Somalia. At least three assailants and seven other people, including soldiers and civilians, were killed and an unknown number of people were injured in the ensuing clash. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
