Incident Summary:

03/30/2017: Assailants engaged in a clash with Philippine Army (PA) soldiers near Benli, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. The assailants were thought to be on their way to target a military detachment in the village. At least six people, including one soldier and five assailants, were killed in the attack. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the incident to the New People's Army (NPA).
