04/18/2017: Assailants abducted Ahmed Muqbel, a Sanaa University Faculty of Education Islamic Studies professor, from his residence in Andalus neighborhood, Sanaa, Amanat Al Asimah, Yemen. The whereabouts of Muqbel are unknown. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah).
