Incident Summary:

04/19/2017: Assailants attacked a security checkpoint in Gayan, Paktika, Afghanistan. This was one of five coordinated attacks in the district on the same day. At least six assailants were killed and four assailants were injured in the ensuing clashes. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Taliban.
