Incident Summary:
05/05/2017: Assailants dressed in Philippine National Police (PNP) uniforms set up a roadblock and abducted a Philippine Army (PA) soldier outside the Davao Security and Investigation Agency (DASIA) compound in Poblacion neighborhood, Valencia City, Bukidnon, Philippines. The soldier was injured and released on May 23, 2017. This was one of two related attacks that occurred in and around the DASIA compound in Poblacion neighborhood on the same day. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident.
