05/09/2017: Assailants opened fire on the convoy of Taban Deng Gai along Juba-Bor Road in Sudan-Safari, Terekeka, South Sudan. Gai, the First Vice President, was not harmed; however, at least one assailant was killed and three bodyguards were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
