05/14/2017: Assailants attacked police personnel at polling booths in Melung, Province 3, Nepal. One person was killed and an unknown number of people were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) and the Nepali Congress Party (NC).
