Incident Summary:

05/21/2017: Assailants attacked a police checkpoint in Sangin, Helmand, Afghanistan. Six police officers were killed and three officers were injured in the attack. In addition, the checkpost commander was abducted and his whereabouts are unknown. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident.
