Incident Summary:

05/22/2017: Assailants opened fire on members of Jamiat-I-Islami Afghanistan (JIA), an uprising force, in Lolash, Faryab, Afghanistan. At least five JIA members, including a commander, were killed in the attack. Additionally, the assailants sustained an unknown number of casualties in the clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
