05/24/2017: An explosive device detonated targeting a police patrol near Liboi, Garissa, Kenya. At least three police officers were killed and five officers were injured in the blast. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that attacks would continue until Kenya withdrew from the African Union (AU) peacekeeping mission in Somalia.
