Incident Summary:

05/29/2017: Assailants stopped and set fire to a vehicle travelling along the Gridih-Dumri road in Dumri, Jharkhand, India. No casualties were reported in the attack. This was one of two similar incidents carried out by the assailants in the area on this date. The Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident and stated that the attack was carried out in response to alterations made to the Chotanagpur Tenancy Act (CNT) and the Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act (SPT).
