05/31/2017: An explosive device detonated targeting a police vehicle traveling between Baure and Milimani in Lamu, Kenya. Following the blast, assailants opened fire on the officers. At least eight people, including seven officers and a civilian, were killed in the event This was one of three related attacks in Lamu on the same day. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incident.
