06/01/2017: An explosive device detonated in Ash Shamsiyah, Diyala, Iraq. At least three people were injured in the blast. This was one of two bombings in Ash Shamsiyah within 10 minutes of each other. The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
