Incident Summary:
06/01/2017: An assailant, posing as a journalist, opened fire on Adam Osmayev at an interview in Kyiv city, Ukraine. Osmayev, a former Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) soldier and current Kyiv-2 Police Battalion officer, was injured in the assault. Osmayev's wife returned fire, also injuring the assailant. No group claimed responsibility; however, the assailant was identified as Oleksandr Dakar.

Successful Attack
Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
