Incident Summary:

06/05/2017: An explosive device detonated near a Special Operations Group (SOG) convoy outside of Pokharibandha, Odisha, India. Following the blast, assailants armed with grenades and firearms then attacked the convoy. At least one officer was killed and six other officers were inured in the incident. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
