Incident Summary:

06/16/2017: Assailants raided a military barracks in Bintagoungou, Timbuktu, Mali. At least five soldiers were killed and eight soldiers were injured in the attack. An unknown number of soldiers were also abducted, and the outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. Jamaat Nusrat al-Islam wal Muslimin (JNIM) claimed responsibility for the incident.
