Incident Summary:

06/18/2017: Assailants detonated an explosive device and opened fire on military forces in Ajos, Quezon, Philippines. In addition to an unknown number of assailant casualties, two soldiers were injured in the assault. This was one of two coordinated attacks in the area on this date; this second incident targeted military personnel responding to the scene of an earlier attack. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incidents.
