06/20/2017: Assailants attacked Chhannuram Mandavi at his residence in Cholnar, Chhattisgarh, India. Mandavi, a former sarpanch and local Indian National Congress (INC) leader, was killed in the assault. The Communist Party of India - Maoist (CPI-Maoist) claimed responsibility for the incident and accused Chhannuram Mandavi of being a police informant.
