06/21/2017: Assailants destroyed houses in Simsiman, North Cotabato, Philippines. There were no reported casualties. This was one of six coordinated attacks in Pigcawayan district on this date. The Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Movement (BIFM) claimed responsibility for the incidents and stated that the attacks were carried out in retaliation for military operations in Mamasapano.
