Incident Summary:
07/05/2017: Assailants raided a police post in Pandanguo, Lamu, Kenya. In addition to an unknown number of assailant casualties, at least three police officers were killed and one officer was injured in the ensuing clash. This was one of six coordinated attacks in Pandanguo on this date. Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the incidents.

Criteria
Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
Criterion 2

Success of a terrorist strike is defined according to the tangible effects of the attack.
