07/09/2017: Assailants abducted and killed a former New People's Army (NPA) member in President Roxas district, North Cotabato province, Philippines. Jocelyn Yala's body was discovered on July 11th, 2017. The New People's Army (NPA) claimed responsibility for the incident and accused the victim of providing the military with information that led to the killing of an NPA leader.
