07/12/2017: Assailants equipped with explosives-laden vehicles raided a village near Tall Zalat, Nineveh, Iraq. This was one of two attacks targeting villages in the area on this date. At least seven assailants and three volunteer fighters were killed across both assaults. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
