07/13/2017: Assailants armed with knives and stones attacked a police vehicle escorting West Bengal Tourism Minister Goutam Deb near Panighata, West Bengal, India. There were no reported casualties. This was one of 19 related incidents in West Bengal on this date. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attacks to the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM), which denied involvement.
