Incident Summary:
07/14/2017: Assailants raided police stations at the central market in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. An unknown number of prisoners were freed during the attack. This was one of two coordinated attacks at the market on this date. Two people, including the market administrator and a deputy police commander, were killed and six police officers were injured across both attacks. No group claimed responsibility for the incidents.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
