Incident Summary:

07/26/2017: Assailants ambushed and detonated an explosive device targeting a police patrol in Jian, Jiabong district, Samar province, Philippines. Two officers were wounded. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the New People's Army (NPA) and stated that the attack was carried out in response to the continuance of martial law in Mindanao.
