08/01/2017: Assailants attacked Kabul-Kandahar highway in Wardak, Afghanistan. At least 26 people, including a civilian and 25 assailants, were killed and 36 others, including six security personnel and 30 assailants, were injured in the ensuing clash. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
