Incident Summary:
08/08/2017: Assailants opened fire on the residence of Inkinane Ag Attaher in Kidal, Mali. Attaher, the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA) Anti-Terror Squad head, was not harmed; however, at least three people, including one civilian and two assailants, were killed and two MNLA members were injured in the assault. No group claimed responsibility for the attack.

Criteria 1
The act must be aimed at attaining a political, economic, religious, or social goal. In terms of economic goals, the exclusive pursuit of profit does not satisfy this criterion. It must involve the pursuit of more profound, systemic economic change.
