08/07/2017: Assailants detonated explosives targeting an electricity pylon near Nyongoro, Lamu, Kenya. There were no reported casualties, but the pylon was destroyed in the blast. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Al-Shabaab.
