Incident Summary:

08/19/2017: Assailants stopped two cars and abducted 10 people in Mekhta, Ghazni, Afghanistan. At least four people were injured in the attack. Six of the hostages were released on August 20, 2017, and two hostages escaped on March 11, 2018. The fate of the remaining hostages is unknown. No group claimed responsibility; however, sources attributed the attack to the Taliban.
