Incident Summary:

08/23/2017: Assailants attacked an unknown number of police posts in Nurgaram district, Nuristan, Afghanistan. At least two police officers and 11 assailants were killed and 15 assailants were injured in the ensuing clash. This was one of two coordinated attacks in Nurgaram on the same day. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incidents.
