08/24/2017: Assailants stopped vehicles at a checkpoint and abducted 13 General People’s Congress (GPC) members in northern Dhamar, Yemen. The outcome of the kidnapping is unknown. This was one of three attacks targeting the GPC in Dhamar on this date. No group claimed responsibility for the incident; however, sources attributed the attack to Houthi extremists (Ansar Allah).
